The 37-year-old citizen arrived in the municipality on October 22, after making a humanitarian flight from Mexico and arriving at the Santiago de Cuba airport.
As it is conceived in the protocol, from the opening established for the provinces that passed to the new normality, when she arrived on Cuban soil, she was carried out the corresponding analysis.
Since yesterday the health authorities of the municipality insure the areas near the residence of this person, located in the El Naranjal Popular Council.
So far, eleven direct contacts have been detected, belonging to the health areas of Mayarí city and Levisa, the former are attended by the family doctor and nurse from office number 38.
The control also establishes follow-up for some people who traveled with the citizen infected with the disease, residing in the Pasa area, where they receive care from Clinic number 15 in Levisa.
According to Dr. Raudel García Estopiñán, during the last hours the municipal rapid response team was activated for effective control and treatment.
