As every day, the Provincial Defense Council in Holguín met and adopted measures as part of the strategy to confront COVID-19.

Among the issues evaluated on Friday night are issues related to the Legal Group and the Internal Order.

It was also reported the approval of new restrictive measures for the entry and exit of people to the municipality of Holguín since it is in the phase of Limited Autochthonous Transmission with statistics that predict an increase in positive cases.

At the meeting, chaired by Adrián Rojas Rodríguez, Member of the Party's Provincial Bureau and Yunia Pérez Hernández, Vice Governor, the following indication was issued:

As a result of the current epidemiological hygienic situation in the province and taking into account the irregularities detected at the access points to the provincial capital, it is necessary to temporarily adopt new measures to stop the spread of the pandemic, based on the responsibility of the Addresses the municipalities.

In this complex situation, our people must limit the exits from their homes and visits to relatives or friends from or to the Holguín municipality, as well as the exit to other provinces that are not urgent and strictly necessary. Now the most important thing is our health and avoid the increase in infections in the coming days.

Therefore, the access to the provincial capital or its exit will be made in an exceptional way and through the approval of an authorization issued by the Social Economic Group.

The causes to be authorized will be the following:

-Medical assistance, certified by the Health Subgroup.

-Hospital income.

-Procedures for the acquisition of basic basket.

It is defined as persons authorized to enter the territory without the need for authorization who work in the cargo wagons, who will not be able to pick up personnel outside the activity. Also to the personnel of hearses, ambulances and medical emergencies.

The daily incidents that are detected at the entry and exit points of the city will be reported to the Provincial Transport Subgroup, who will summon those responsible for their analysis in the Holguín Municipal Defense Council and in the Provincial Defense Council (CDP) , as appropriate.

Personnel waiting to move to another territory will not be allowed at the access points.

For the departure from the main municipality to other provinces, the Provincial Transportation Subgroup is responsible, accompanied by an official of the Provincial Government designated for this function, who will issue the authorization once the veracity of the documents presented is verified and will transfer the incidents detected daily to the CDP .

The new measures will be effective from next Monday, March 22 from 12:00 am, that is, from Sunday to Monday.
