García Estopiñán emphasized that in the last 14 days the territory has reported 22 positive cases to COVID-19, nine of them imported.

The health areas with the highest incidence are Mayarí, Guatemala and Levisa, said the specialist, who added that the number of people in the three active isolation centers is decreasing, where 54 contacts of positive cases remain on Sunday.

In relation to the effects caused by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the director of public health in Mayari, said that the areas with the highest rate of infestation are Felton and Cosme Batey, so it is necessary to take community action.
